I Tai Chi and Chi Kung Course in Fuentealbilla
During this Chi Kung and Tai Chi course held in August 2024 in the town of Fuentealbilla, the practice was focused on activating the central nervous system, mainly through movement of the spine.
The spine is the main bony axis of our body. Thanks to its hollow, articulated structure, it conducts and protects the central nervous system. Keeping it aligned, elastic, and functional therefore has a positive impact on many of our vital functions. During this Chi Kung and Tai Chi course focused on the spine, we concentrated on gentle, slow-moving exercises. Through conscious body movement combined with breathing, we improved spinal alignment, strength, and flexibility.
The Chi Kung and Tai Chi exercises, practiced outdoors twice a week, allowed participants to release tension and oxygenate the tissues surrounding the vertebrae and spinal cord. In addition, since this is an internal form of exercise that naturally induces calm and helps balance our psycho-emotional state, a large amount of endorphins was released. These Endorphins produced by the brain, create pleasant sensations that had a positive effect on mood and overall well-being.
We would like to thank the Ayuntamiento de Fuentealbilla for the opportunity to hold this event and for all the support they offered us. And of course, we thank all the participants for their enthusiasm and involvement. Thanks to their warmth and very positive feedback, meaningful connections were created through the practice—even though the workshop felt too short. We’re really looking forward to practicing together again, continuing to learn, and enjoying this art. Thank you!
